There’s nothing worse than being left feeling underwhelmed by the amount of food you’re given in an order and being too British to say anything about it.
One man who decided to negate any chance of that happening made sure to order extra filling in his McDonald’s breakfast bagel – and received far more than he had bargained for.
Bryan Passifiume, a reporter in Toronto, left social media baffled when he tweeted a picture of his breakfast, writing: “LOL what the hell, @McDonaldsCanada.

“More photos of this monstrosity. I ordered extra cream cheese as they usually just apply it like butter, but this is clearly just an exercise in passive-aggressiveness. How do I possibly eat this?”
The image shows the bread dwarfed by its cream cheese filling, slopped on in such volume it’s left others ‘wanting to throw up’ just looking at it.
The hilarious thread, in which Bryan compared his bagel to other objects, racked up thousands upon thousands of likes.
Bryan chose not to try and get his mouth round the ‘McMonstrosity’ and instead took pictures of it next to a lottery ticket, ice hockey puck, and the packaging of an inhaler.
His colleagues also posed with his breakfast, showing staff at the fast food chain had been so over-generous with the filling that the bagel proved to be a double-hander for some.
Not to be defeated, Bryan returned the next day to try again and was told they had run out of extra herb and garlic cream cheese, leaving him to write: “No kidding, they gave it all to me yesterday.”
Documenting the grand unveil online, the much-awaited sequel to the McMonstrosity was labelled ‘still very passive aggressive’ by others, but Bryan said it had reduced to edible levels of filling.
The sequence of events had people hooked, with one writing: “I can’t get Big Mac sauce on my cheeseburger and this guy got $300 worth of cream cheese on one bagel.”
A second suggested: “Go buy a pack of bagels and you are set for the week.”
A third snapped back: “Don’t order extra cream cheese if you don’t want extra cream cheese.”
Another simply added: “I would so eat that” – but not everyone agree, as one replied: “Just looking at it makes me want to throw up.”
